Mace Day Nurseries are committed to promoting equality of
opportunity in all areas of employment, including recruitment,
training and promotion.
We aim to create an environment where all members of staff
can develop their full potential regardless of gender, marital
status, sexual orientation, age, disability, race, colour,
nationally, ethnic origin, religion or political beliefs.
Selection for all posts is based on merit, and the individual
having skills and ability to do the job.
Mace is committed to developing a workforce that reflects
the community in which we operate.
Each Nursery also has Equal Opportunity Co-ordinators, who
support the development of curriculum activities for the
children in our care.
Males are under represented within the childcare industry,
totalling approximately 1% of the workforce. At Mace, we
would like to increase our number of male staff, so why don't

to put theory in to practice. Many of our students work with
us during the holidays to extra money and then they join
us full time once their course has been completed.
